  1. Hi Julie, (karen from ds the big picture) was really great to meet you at the exhibition today – so thought I would take a little look at your website – many thanks for coming in, you’ve really made me feel so much more confident about my daughters future 🙂

  2. Saturday 22nd June An Evening To Put In Your Calendar.
FACET and The Fenland Branch of the Cambridgeshire Mencap have joined forces to bring you an evening of Country style music, refreshments and fun at the FACET Marwick Centre, 21 Marwick Road, March from 7pm – 10pm. Tickets are available until 19th June at £5 each (£2 for paid Care Staff) in advance from either FACET (01354 655080) or Cambridgeshire Mencap (01354 651166).
There will be refreshments to include food and soft drinks and there will also be a Grand Raffle. The proceeds will be shared between FACET and Mencap.
The two charities have decided to join forces for this event as –
    · Both are local charities.
    · Both support young people and adults with learning disabilities in lots of different ways.
    · Both offer services which include access to enjoyable community activities and training..
    · We both rely on staff and volunteers to help deliver the services and welcome those who want to make a positive difference.
    · Both charities offer young people the chance to express their creative side through a range of arts based activities.
    · Schemes in both charities are supported by trained staff and volunteers. They are always keen to find out what is wanted by their students and service users will try hard to arrange it for them.
    · Both charities are local and based in Cambridgeshire.
    · Both charities support young people and adults with learning disabilities in lots of different ways.
Both charities help people live their lives the way they want by providing them with many different leisure and learning opportunities, along with the necessary support to meet their everyday needs and realise their dreams.
Community activities in both charities allow people to do the things they enjoy most, to make new friends, learn new skills and become more independent. People are provided with support that matches their personal needs.
Both FACET and The Fenland Branch of the Cambridgeshire Mencap are sharing the organising of the event, but really do need help from the community in way of donations of food and money for all the catering and raffle prizes. They are asking for local retailers to donate either food, vouchers for food, soft drinks and raffle prizes. Any help on the evening would be appreciated.
